TAIWANESE STUDENT TURNS CATHOLIC… FROM FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE
Tzu Ping Liu, a 30-year-old Taiwanese international student and military member studying aerospace engineering at the University of Florida, is set to enter the Catholic Church this Easter thanks to an unlikely friendship sparked by a Facebook Marketplace post seeking friends. When Robert Manoogian, a 20-year-old mechanical engineering student, found Liu's post, he invited him to a campus event called “Mass and Meal,” where Liu initially attended just for the food but soon grew curious about Jesus, even printing bilingual Mass pamphlets, leading to a meaningful spiritual journey and new faith.
