RELIGIOUS COMMISSION TARGETS CHURCH-STATE BARRIER
Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission blasted the idea of church-state separation in a draft report, urging the Justice Department to push an “originalist” reading of the Constitution and cast religion as an “essential support” for American life. The move deepens a fierce fight over religion in public power and could open the door to a more aggressive federal push to redefine the line between faith and government.
