KANSAS SENATE DEFENDS LIFE CENTERS
“We build a Culture of Life one act at time, and, in this bill, Gov. Laura Kelly can support mothers and babies by protecting the pregnancy care centers, which provide resources for women who choose Life,” said Students for Life’s Kristan Hawkins. “Protecting the centers that provide support and resources for mothers and their children promotes a culture of Life and flourishing for Kansas citizens.”
TOPEKA, KAN. (03-23-2026) — Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins celebrated the passage of the SFLAction-championed “Pregnancy Center Autonomy and Rights of Expression Act” (HB2635) in the Kansas Senate, advancing by a vote of 31-9. The bill has now passed in both chambers and heads to Gov. Laura Kelly’s desk for signature. If signed into law, Kansas would protect the Pregnancy Resource Centers that offer mothers the resources and support they need to confidently choose Life.
