A jury has been discharged after failing to reach a unanimous verdict in the trial of former Catholic priest Neville Joseph Creen, accused of abusing a boy under 14 in the late 1970s and early ’80s. Creen, who pleaded not guilty to repeated sexual conduct with a child and indecent treatment of a child, leaves court with the case unresolved after a near-50-year-old allegation at the center of a deeply serious abuse case.
