Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have lowered the minimum age for participation in war-related support roles to 12, allowing children as young as 12 and 13 to assist with patrols, checkpoints, and logistics under an initiative called “For Iran,” a move announced on state media despite Iran’s obligations under the Convention on the Rights of the Child that prohibits involving children in military activities.
