ELDERLY WOMAN’S CONVICTED RAPIST GRANTED PAROLE
Patrick Kelley, who was sentenced to three life terms in 1995 for raping a 76-year-old woman at knifepoint, beating her with a frying pan, and later raping her visiting nurse, has been granted parole after serving 31 years in prison, despite opposition from the Suffolk DA’s office. Kelley, then 30, gained entry to the Dorchester home by pretending to deliver materials for a contractor while the elderly woman was caring for her ill husband, and the visiting nurse was expected to arrive.
