René Echevarria, best known for his work on "Star Trek," embraces the opportunity to bring the Bible to life in the new FOX drama series "The Faithful: Women of the Bible," which premiered March 22. The show explores the lives of five Old Testament women—Sarah, Hagar, Rebekah, Leah, and Rachel—portraying them as complex, courageous figures navigating love, faith, and family. Filmed in Italy and airing weekly through Easter, the three-part series aims to humanize these biblical matriarchs while offering a fresh, dramatic perspective, with executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz joining Echevarria in the project.
