CATHOLIC CHARITY SUES MICHIGAN ON FAITH TARGETING
Catholic Charities has sued Michigan officials in federal court, accusing Attorney General Dana Nessel, Health and Human Services Director Elizabeth Hertel, and others of a “pattern of religious targeting” after the state cut off its women’s specialty service designation and referrals. The case pits religious liberty against state oversight and could force Michigan to restore the charity’s status or defend its actions in a courtroom fight over faith-based care.
