66 COME FORWARD IN HENGSBACH PROBE
A commissioned study says new abuse allegations against former Essen Bishop Franz Hengsbach are plausible in at least four cases, with researchers saying 66 people came forward and that clear signs point to him as a perpetrator. The findings deepen pressure on the Church, reopening a long-buried scandal and raising demands for accountability as more victims may still emerge.
