TRANS REP SENTENCED IN DAYCARE PHOTO SCANDAL
Former New Hampshire state representative Stacie-Marie Laughton, 42, was sentenced in Massachusetts to more than 33 years in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of aiding and abetting the sexual exploitation of children tied to a daycare photo scheme. Prosecutors say the case, already yielding a 22-year sentence for Laughton’s former partner, exposes a disturbing abuse of trust and could bring even more fallout from the mass of messages and images investigators seized.
