All six U.S. service members on board a refueling aircraft have been confirmed dead after the U.S. KC-135 Stratotanker crashed in western Iraq, according to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

 

A U.S. KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq during Operation Epic Fury, a joint campaign against Iran, killing all six service members on board, CENTCOM confirmed; another involved aircraft landed safely, no fire was reported, and rescue efforts were ongoing before the final confirmation of fatalities.
