Catholic Scouting has a new public name — Catholic Scouting America — and leaders say the rebrand is meant to sharpen, not soften, a century-old mission: faith, family and adventure, all anchored in Catholic values. The legal name stays put, but the message is clear: with 130,888 active Scouts and leaders across 194 dioceses and eparchies, plus service projects worth an estimated $52 million, this is a major force in Catholic life — and it’s still tied to Scouting America, where boys and girls can earn religious emblems and take part in programs that leaders say are shaping the next generation.
