At a Capitol UFO forum, Rep. Eric Burlison said a long-hidden 1952 reel-to-reel recording has been confirmed and will be released by MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory; the tape, marked “AF-ATIC-FILM, 03/52” and “flying saucer talk,” reportedly features Project Blue Book chief Edward J. Ruppelt briefing officials during the Washington, D.C., frenzy.
The find could reopen one of the oldest flashpoints in the UFO mystery, with pressure building for more disclosures from military and academic archives after decades of secrecy.
