Massachusetts has ignited a firestorm after Gov. Maura Healey signed a law stripping away all abortion limits, making the state the 11th in the nation with no restrictions at all and leaving late-term decisions to a doctor’s “judgment.” U.S. bishops chief Archbishop Paul Coakley blasted the move as “shocking” and “horrendous,” calling it an “affront against the dignity of life” and a “shocking blow” to the pro-life movement. Now CatholicVote is demanding Healey’s excommunication, accusing the Catholic governor of public cooperation in the “destruction of innocent human life.”
